So….I’m sampling different translations of The Brothers Karamazov in preparation for December’s classics reading, and apparently it’s a wacky comedy! This cover appears as the Kindle edition for the Peavers/Volohonsky translation, which is the one I’m most leaning towards.

Illustrated platinum? Judging by the cover, it looks like that means stock photos.. XD
I thought the P&V translation was excellent. It was a long book, but very readable!
Sounds encouraging! I’m not sure what I was thinking doing this and Tolstoy back to back!
That is an interesting choice, lol
Somehow I think the story of three brothers grappling with their father’s death won’t be quite…this chipper.
Interesting cover. Happy reading.

Amazing that this made it through whatever vetting that it should have had. I read the Peavers/Volohonsky translation of The Brothers Karamazov. I do not have anything else to compare it to since I have not read any other translations. It seemed well done as far as I could tell.
Considering how many self-published ebooks are on Amazon, I would not be surprised if there is little to none. It IS odd for a more well known title, though.
