I can’t believe I almost missed this. Ray Bradbury’s story, “And There Will Come Soft Rains”, was the creepiest bit of short fiction I ever read in middle or high school. Images of it have haunted me since. The best way to experience it, of course, is reading it without knowing a single thing about the story – only the general tension of the Cold War. But is that possible today? Well, if you don’t know about it, read it. And then you can listen to this adaptive audio drama which ruins the twist but has its own merits. And now, if you’ll excuse me, I have an inexplicable interest to play Fallout 4.
