Top Ten Tuesday: Recent TBR’s

Today’s TTT is books recently added to our TBR list. I’ve got a few reviews lined up, but foist: here’s a tease!

The Buddhist point of view takes the function of work to be at least threefold: to give a man a chance to utilize his and develop his faculties;to enable him to overcome his ego-centredness by joining with other people to bring forth the goods and services needed for a becoming assistance. (small is beautiful, E.F. Schumacher)

And now, my lazy list.

Good luck with your goals. My goal is 2 non-fiction. And that’ll be tough!

When are you thinking of reading ’84? I found my (surprisingly slim) copy so I’m ready to go. Happily I found my Wells books too so those ‘couplings’ are itching to… couple! [grin]

  3. I’m curious to see which books you have in mind for #2.
Good luck with your goals. Here are mine: https://wordsandpeace.com/2025/01/14/my-top-ten-bookish-goals-for-2025/

I look forward to seeing which nonfiction books you read this year! There aren’t a lot of TTT bloggers who talk about that.

Well, Goal #4 — I definitely agree with – three is more than enough. Goal #2 is very intriguing, hope it works out for you.

Good luck with your goals. As someone who never picks up non fiction I’m pleased to say that I’m hoping a 2025 release I have my eye on will change that.

    • It must be special! What’s the title?

Story Of A Murder by Hallie Rubenhold. It’s not the first non fiction I’ve added to my TBR but when I spotted it recently it seemed like a good starting point. I have another of the authors books on my TBR and a couple of mythology based titles too. Plus on a hopefully less dark note Heroic Animals 😅

  7. Lol, your 4th made me chuckle. Three is plenty enough! These all sound good!

Looking forward to seeing what non-fiction books you read this year! And I love the idea of rereading mind-altering books to see how you feel about them years later but it takes a certain level of bravery lol. That could be awesome or it could be super disappointing. 3 bookish goals are plenty to give you excellent books all year long 😀

  9. Susan's avatar Susan says:

Ha ha. Three bookish goals is definitely enough. Good luck with them!

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

Hey, 3 is totally enough when they’re worthy goals! 😉

I need to work more nonfic in … I more than doubled last year, but when you’re starting at 3 that’s easily done 🙃 lol I have an entire bookcase full (plus another half case, probably?) of nonfiction that has caught my eye over the years – I need to dive in to some of those this year!

Can’t fail Classics Club. No worries there.
